Wright descendants honor flight roots at Wright memorial
Descendants of Wright brothers gather on December 17 at the Wright Brothers National Memorial to lay wreaths, recalling five local men who watched the first powered flight in 1903. They recount hauling the 600 pound craft to the launch track and witnessing 12 seconds of historical achievement, with ties to Kill Devil Hills and Ocean Side communities.
