Doctors Link Poor Posture To Backaches At Seminar
A four doctor panel from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio says posture is the main cause of back pain. The seminar on Painful Disorders of the Back and Legs was broadcast via teleconference to Medical Center Hospital. The panel urged simple exercises like pelvic tilt knee to chest and sit ups, proper lifting with legs, firm mattress, and avoiding high heels. Only about five percent of chronic back pain patients need surgery. The next school seminar on Parkinson's Disease is set for Jan 4, 1973.
