Teen knows the meaning of Christmas in selfless spree

Richard Romines a terminally ill 14 year old with muscular dystrophy used a $200 shopping spree for his family at Pic N Save. A Child's Dream sponsored the event and picked up the tab after he shopped first in toys then clothing hardware and gifts for his mother father and two brothers. The family will have presents and money to brighten a Christmas.

Black group ends newspaper protest in Washington after deal

Washington Post publisher Donald E. Graham will appear three times on Cathy Hughes’s WOL show after the Washington Post Magazine Recall Committee, which protested negative coverage of blacks in the revamped Sunday magazine, reached an agreement. About 300,000 copies were returned during the three months of demonstrations.
