Examiner ties shells to Swink in West Texas killings
Firearms examiner Herman Welon Swink testified that six spent shotgun shells found near the house came from a shotgun in the defendant Roy Glenn Swink's bedroom closet. Texas Ranger and Dr. Jarrett Williams described victims and blood evidence linking Roy Glenn Swink to the January 24, 1978, slayings of Herman Swink, Tone Swink, and Royce Swink, while the defense argued uncertainty about blood origins and a possible intruder.

Jurors view gruesome murder photos in Grijalva trial
Jurors in the capital murder trial of David Grijalva examined six gruesome photos of Jeanette Powers’s mutilated body as the case nears closing. They had not, initially, been shown the 11 sexual-posed images of Grijalva and his ex wife but the panel later saw them, though some would not be shown to jurors.
