City mourns mayor in Mount Pleasant Iowa
City officials and residents mourned Mayor Edward M. King after he was shot dead at a council meeting. Henry County declared today Edd King Day as the council planned to name an acting mayor. Two council members were wounded. Ralph Orin Davis, 69, was arrested on murder and attempted murder charges.
