CIA report links U S and ex Nazi figures in Cold War intrigue
Declassified CIA materials outline U S intelligence protecting Ukrainian fascist Mykola Lebed after World War II to exploit his network against the Soviet Union from New York. The report to Congress, by Norman Goda and Richard Breitman, cites extensive use of ex Nazis during the Cold War and notes Eichmann escape was not aided by U S agencies. It calls the history shameful and urges acknowledgment.
