Judge slams municipal court study as waste of time
Judge JE Weatherly criticized a $35,000 study by Yarger Decker and Thomas for proposing abolishing a municipal judge’s post and numerous changes. The 126 page report, delivered Sept. 18, suggests one time savings of $350,000 and annual revenues of $200,000 plus, with total implementation cost at $220,000. Weatherly warned the plan could harm the court system while city officials said they will study and consider recommendations, noting some costless items don’t require council input.

The work by Anton Zeilinger and team, reported in Nature, hints at future ultra fast computing and speculative teleportation concepts once dismissed by Einstein as spooky.
