U N peacekeepers blamed as Haiti cholera source

French epidemiologist Renaud Piarroux says cholera in Haiti began near a U.N. base by the Artibonite river and urges further probe and improved sanitation. Iran agrees to resume nuclear talks in Geneva next year

Iran and the six world powers reached a framework to reconvene early next year amid pressure over Tehran's uranium enrichment. President Ahmadinejad warned that sanctions must be lifted or talks may fail, while negotiators indicated no concrete commitments to discuss UN Security Council demands. Saed Jalili tempered expectations as diplomats noted no substantive progress, though enrichment concerns were raised by the six during two days of dialogue.
