Recordings from the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting show a janitor pleading for help and teachers seeking safety as Newtown dispatchers urge calm and cover. The releases follow a court order after prosecutors argued public access would deepen victims families’ anguish. Adam Lanza, 20, shot his way into the school, with staff witnesses noting the gunman’s entrance and ongoing gunfire. One caller described shooters in the hall while a teacher sheltered with children and tried to lock doors.
