Viet Cong guerrillas attacked Dak Song near the Cambodian border using flamethrowers and grenades, killing about 200 and wounding 30 as 30 to 40 homes burned. The assault involved around 400 attackers, with Montagnard villagers believed to be residents.
Mike Earney announces resignation as Ector County attorney after three years, effective January 1 to join private practice with Richard K. Nunley.
