Pipeline expansion eyed for South Odessa fuel corridor

McDonald confirms a 700 mile pipeline to El Paso is partially filled and will boost jobs and capital in Odessa. Longhorn considered a new multimillion-dollar terminal in 1998 but reused an existing facility near the petrochemical complex. Beauchamp announced House approval of a one year transportation bill with 1 million for La Entrada feasibility and 2 million for LEAP US 67 improvements in Pecos County. Holiday season distortions and mixed retail start

Private economists and Labor Department analysts say holiday claim volatility remains high due to seasonal adjustment issues. Unadjusted new claims fell by over 36 000 last week while retailers report sluggish November sales and weak weekend demand. Factory orders rose 0.5 percent in October led by non durable goods though durable goods declined, beating expectations of 0.4 percent.
