Chiefs Linebacker Belcher Kills Girlfriend Then Self
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend on Saturday morning and then shot himself outside the team complex after thanking general manager Scott Pioli and coach Romeo Crennel. Police cited no motive. Belcher, 25, from West Babylon Long Island, had a 3 month old daughter in care. The Chiefs continued preparations and planned to play Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers after discussions with league officials and team captains.
