Poll finds loose talk on Haig harms U S foreign relations
The AP-NBC poll shows a majority of Americans who heard of Haig's clashes with Reagan aides think the disagreements hurt U S foreign relations. One third approve Haig as secretary of state, and about one third approve Reagan's handling of staff disputes while overall Reagan's job rating stands at 46 percent.
