Midland Junior College Vote Slated For Dec 2 Details
Midland ISD trustees set December 21 as the election date to disband PJCS and form a new Midland Junior College District. A585 Emillion bond issue funds a Midland campus land offered by the City Council in Air Park. Absentee voting runs through December 15 with ten precincts. The move ends a 1969 alliance with Odessa and follows earlier bond plans. Dr. Al Langind notes optimism amid a push by Citizens to Build Midland College led by Mrs. Frank Cahoon and Hamilton McRae.
