Thanksgiving travel largely smooth despite storm threats
Tens of millions of Americans returned home after Thanksgiving with cooperative weather and mostly efficient airport operations. Delays were under 15 minutes for most, though Seattle, Newark and LaGuardia saw longer waits amid fog and heavy travel volume. AAA estimated nearly 47 million travelers, the highest since 2007, while a Virginia bus rollover injured 35.
