Medical Center plans 3 million pediatric wing renovation
Officials from Medical Center Hospital and the Medical Center Health System Foundation outline a two phase upgrade costing 3 million dollars to the pediatric wing. Phase one covers painting floors and a redesigned observation area with a play room while phase two aims to add a TTUHSC pediatric residency program and expanded care capabilities. The project will be funded entirely by philanthropy led by Tammy Canady whose daughter Samantha Canady died after state care travel.
