Texas redrawing districts again in 2014 court ruling
A Washington federal court found Texas lawmakers discriminated against minorities in drawing new congressional and state Senate districts. The 154 page ruling voided the maps as Voting Rights Act violations, likely shifting districts before the 2014 elections. Attorney General Abbott vowed to appeal while minority groups hailed the decision. Luis Vera for LULAC called it a hell of a victory.
