Dr David Evans returns to pulpit after divorce and new career
The Rev Dr David Evans, once forced to resign after his divorce from a large Southern Baptist church, returns as part time pastor at First Baptist Crane while pursuing oil and gas landman work with Shaw Interests in Midland. Evans, 65, educated at Baylor and Southwestern, preaches expository sermons through one gospel at a time, focusing on communicating scriptural truth. He notes Mark’s credibility as an eyewitness account and says Sunday services draw 65 to 95 attendees.
