Ford Toyota ink hybrid drives deal for trucks and SUVs
Ford Motor Co and Toyota Motor Corp signed a joint plan to co develop a gas electric hybrid powertrain for pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles. The pact aims to cut development costs and accelerate market entry while keeping each brand distinct. targets include meeting tougher U.S. fuel economy standards and maintaining vehicle viability amid rising gas prices.
