County courthouse budget faces voters with 95 million proposal
The committee laid out a 95 million plan for a new courthouse and related facilities including an 66 million building, 8 million underground judges parking, 5 million for future floors, 5 million for above ground parking, 3 million furnishings, 2 million security IT, 3 million land, 2 million demolition, and 1 million landscaping. Critics warn of tax hikes and ballooning costs while supporters say expandable design and phased growth are prudent. Early voting begins October 21 with the bond on the November 5 ballot.
