Oklahoma Distillers Withdraw Cut Off Oklahoma Whiskey Market
Tulsa clerks report holiday rush as Seagram Buckingham Paddington withdraw from Oklahoma market cutting popular brands like Cutty Sark Chivas Regal and Crown Royal. The move stems from a state law on lowest prices to Oklahoma wholesalers and resales to non-franchised out of state. California price dynamics and a looming Supreme Court review shape the shifting liquor trade and wholesale practices.
