County approves $26 million budget
Ector County commissioners adopted a 26.39 million dollar budget and a 32.5 cent tax rate. The plan, prepared since April, increases expenditures by 0.52 million and may exceed revenues by about 0.38 million. The new rate lowers taxes compared with last year but higher assessments push bills up for most homeowners. It takes effect Oct. 1.
