Garrison Minnesota. Jane Simmons 24 completed an 11 hour 40 minute overnight swim across Mille Lacs Lake to raise funds for the Children’s Habilitation Institute of La Crosse Wisconsin. She faced 5 to 6 foot waves and rough seas but finished around 8:30 a.m. Sunday with support from her father and a physician. The swim raised 2500 toward a 10000 goal and she is believed to be the first swimmer to cross Mille Lacs.
