Texas court halts execution of man who didn’t pull trigger
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals halted the planned execution of Jeffery Wood, 43, for a 1996 robbery in which he did not pull the trigger. The 7-2 decision cites false testimony and discredited psychiatric evidence. Wood waited outside as Daniel Reneau shot the clerk. Reneau was executed in 2002.
