Oil futures fall as profits taken after highs ease demand jitters
New York crude futures slipped to 63.25 a barrel as September contracts dropped 2.83, easing from a record 67.10 set last Friday. API showed July gasoline deliveries down 0.8 percent and total domestic petroleum deliveries down 3 percent, while the DOE reported demand still strong with gasoline use averaging about 9.5 million barrels per day over the last four weeks, 1.5% above a year ago.
