Beaumont ISD earns first post‑manager rating pass in years
Beaumont Independent School District earned a passing score on the state financial accountability ratings for the first time since managers were appointed three years ago. The improvement allows bond refinancing and a 2 cent decrease in the district tax rate from 1.315 to 1.294 per 100 dollars. Port Arthur ISD meanwhile raises its rate to 1.48.
