Illustrators showcase medical art at Philadelphia salon
At the Association of Medical Illustrators annual convention in Philadelphia 450 works mix art and medicine. Highlights include a Killer Amoeba poster and an intricate lung painting. The show runs at Wyndham Franklin Plaza through Wednesday. The president cites growth in malpractice and court uses, with 850 members and 550 in town for the meeting and juried exhibit. Medical illustrators blend clarity with concept to depict unseen anatomy for surgeons, juries, and students alike.
