Grass fire at JAS Trucking burns tires and trailer
Large smoke plume rose Sunday afternoon as Odessa firefighters battled a grass fire behind JAS Trucking in the 3800 block of South West County Road. The blaze, about two acres, spread to a pile of tires damaging several tires, a mobile home and several 18 wheeler trailers. no injuries or structural damage reported. Traffic was diverted by deputies and DPS as crews fought the flames around 2 p.m.
