Film maker Bill Bowden comments on Earnest case fate
Odessa attorney Bill Bowden said Earnest remains subject to sentencing and the plea should have been sealed. Earnest faced a state jail felony for endangering a child tied to a bathtub incident. Bob Bland said the case was dismissed in June after a federal indictment in May and a re indictment decision will wait until after sentencing. Earnest posted $25,000 bond and was released. A Haner Drive listing is disconnected and she could not be reached for comment. Sentencing is set for October 26 in Midland federal court.
