Cornyn Asks Kirk to Release Tax Returns in Texas Race
Cornyn’s campaign used a notice to portray Kirk as an obstructor of open government. Beckwith claimed Kirk hid finances and weakened Dallas ethics disclosure while mayor. Cornyn released tax details showing joint 2001 income of 132 906 and federal taxes of 32 078. Kirk's camp challenged the ethics code rewrite and privacy concerns amid Texas Senate bid.
