County balks at indigent medical bill and expands road paving
Ector County commissioners balked at paying a $10,201 indigent medical bill despite a county attorney opinion they will owe it. They approved paving parts of 18th 19th 23rd 24th 29th and Eisele streets plus several avenues to add about 20 miles of new pavement this year. A $130,604 contract for airport improvements was awarded to Jones Brothers Dirt & Paving Contractors Inc. The state should pay for a 19 day hospital stay of George Washington held on a parole violation. Washington lists Ector County as home.
