Fires drive 10,000 tourists from Yosemite park

Yosemite National Park shut after a weekend blaze Black smoke hung over famed sights as 14,000 acres burned on the west side. About 10,000 visitors were evacuated Friday with park facilities largely unused overnight as fires spread across northern California.

Study shows drivers favor billboard free roads

SHREVEPORT LA AP seven of ten respondents in a Loyola University poll backed a billboard free Interstate 49 through central and northern Louisiana. The survey of 779 registered voters found 547 support the uncluttered Louisiana Parkway with 113 opposed. Robertson, Scenic Louisiana president, cited broad citizen support for the ban.
