A Congolese student, Muhindo, arrives in Oklahoma unable to speak English and five years later earns a petroleum engineering degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. He led the International Student Organization, worked as a resident assistant, and plans to stay in the area while gaining work experience before pursuing advanced studies.
