Oregon fire grows to 333000 acres in southwest Oregon
The Oregon fire, the nation’s largest active blaze, expanded to 333,890 acres as crews battled gusty winds and rugged terrain. Containment along the southeastern edge advanced, with 25 percent of the fire contained and a voluntary evacuation in Gasquet, California. Nearby fires in California and across the country added to a season tally of several million acres burned.
