Houston double murder ends in man’s arrest
Police say David Conley 48 killed eight relatives at a Houston home after a dispute with Valerie Jackson, his former partner. Six family members, two parents, including five children aged 6 to 13, died from gunshot wounds. Conley surrendered after a standoff and was charged with capital murder. Valerie was Conley’s former domestic partner and Nathaniel is believed to be Conley’s son. Authorities note Conley had a violent criminal history dating to 1988 and had previously been accused of assaulting Valerie Jackson. The scene prompted a welfare check as officers responded to gunfire and a barricade.
