Prisoners dream of freedom on Manjaca hill

About 3,500 Muslims and Croats are held on Manjaca hill near Banja Luka in western Bosnia. Serb guards call it a military prison for armed rebels while inmates say they were civilians in war zones unarmed and without uniforms. Camp commander Lt. Col. Bozidar Popovic says most inmates were fighters captured on the front. He notes multiple concentration camps exist for Serbs on Muslim and Croat controlled terrain and urges journalists to visit them.

Officials fear Bihac could become second Sarajevo

In Texas a University of Houston poll of 835 registered voters, July 31 to Aug 5, shows Clinton at 43 percent to Bush 29 with 24 percent undecided and 4 percent for others including Perot.
