Insurance agents defend licenses in Gulf Atlantic probe
Two former Houston agents testified they were scapegoats in a Gulf Atlantic Life scheme after the Texas Insurance Department revoked their licenses in 1975. They alleged the department shifted blame to them while a grand jury found administrative deficiencies. Investigators found no solid link between Gulf Atlantic and Nation Wide beyond the agents’ claims.
