Officials probe cattle deaths in Hoban area
Reeves County deputies probe more than a dozen cattle deaths from thirst on a ranch along County Road 336. Valerie Pandak reported the water outage and said 10 cows, three pregnant, two calves and a bull died while buzzards fed on the carcasses as deputies investigate potential legal violations.

Teen dies in Pecos traffic crash on Eddy Street
An 18-year-old, Jose Carlos Barraza of Pecos, died at the scene after his 2005 Dodge hit a light pole on the Eddy Street curve near 900 Block Eddy Street around 2:59 a.m. The site has seen prior fatal crashes, including 1995 and earlier incidents nearby.

Man faces probation violation charges in sexual case
