New generation jail in Minnesota runs by Volunteers of America
Roseville Minnesota inmates at a 42 bed private jail for women serving year or less praise humane dorm like rooms with personal amenities. The VOA runs the facility leasing at 50000 a year with 50 dollar daily per inmate, lower than county or federal rates. The project aims to prove private run jails can meet community needs while offering education and work programs.
