Police in Camp Verde Arizona say 19 year old Jennifer Simmons was forced to live in a storage shed and abused for a year by her birth mother Elizabeth Katrini and stepfather Paul Padilla. Authorities allege repeated mistreatment with electric shocks knives and sticks including forcing the victim to eat feces. Katrini and Padilla were arrested on multiple felony counts of aggravated mistreatment of a vulnerable adult. Jennifer had been adopted by her former foster mother in Mesa at age seven after years of searching for her birth relatives.
