Pastor pleads guilty to wife’s suffocation murder
Monahans district court records show Rev. Joseph Loduca Jr., 31, a newly installed St. Paul Lutheran Church pastor, pleaded guilty to suffocating his wife Mary Ellen Loduca on July 12. He received a 30 year sentence after a plea agreement, waived indictment, and admission of the crime.

AIDS myths spread faster than virus says official
A Texas health official told Odessa health care providers that AIDS myths outrun the virus. Tommy Langham, a disease intervention specialist, warned that local risks center on communicable diseases carried by AIDS patients rather than AIDS itself.
