Five people died in two unrelated accidents in Ector County. In the morning crash on State Highway 302 west of Odessa a 1999 Chevrolet S10 struck a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 HD, killing Lorenzo Hernandez 26 Rosalio Hernandez 31 and Michael Travis Kelly 30. In the evening crash on State Highway 158 east of U S 385 in Gardendale two others died. identities were not released.

Water rescues and motorist assists flood Odessa
Odessa fire and police departments conducted 15 water rescues and 11 motorist assists since midnight Friday. Public information officer Cpl.
