9/11 panel launches nationwide tour for reforms
The Sept. 11 commission plans a bipartisan campaign to push intelligence reform in a presidential year. Kean and Hamilton will appear before panels in Washington while commissioners travel to Boston Seattle Houston Dallas Atlanta Chicago and other cities to urge voters to demand action. The panel also testified on a national counterterrorism center led by a national intelligence director with Cabinet level authority and lawmakers warn of political hurdles to implementation.
