Royal wedding to set fashion trends in Odessa
Odessa shop owners expect Middleton's wedding influences on bridal fashion and rings. They note classic styles in engagement rings and anticipate Mori Lee designs inspired by the dress, with fall adaptations rather than exact replicas. Local jewelers report limited direct copy interest but ongoing trend influence.

Disgraced ex judge probe snags Cameron County worker
A Cameron County employee is the latest figure tied to a South Texas corruption inquiry that has already brought down former state District Judge Abel C. Limas. County Judge Carlos Cascos cautioned he does not know the person’s identity or status, but warned of more surprises to come as prosecutors revealed “Person F” in court papers. The unnamed worker allegedly received property from Jose Manuel Longoria, an associate of Limas, who pleaded guilty to taking bribes for favorable rulings. Longoria acted as a middleman between the judge and others seeking documents and information.
