DNA advances solve Spokane serial killer case

After a costly three year probe, DNA results and fiber clues led to the arrest of Robert Lee Yates Jr. for murder. 9-1-1 recording sheds light on death of woman and children

In Sink­ing Spring, Candace Wertz died when her boyfriend allegedly pushed her car in front of a freight train as she franticly called 9-1-1. Her 2-year-old son and two others also perished, while the ex‑boyfriend was arrested on four counts of murder and aggravated assault.
