Celebrities share favorite books in Maine library project
The Maine library's annual Who Reads What list features Tony Blair praising The Lord of the Rings read aloud to his children and Gillian Anderson citing When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron. Nolan Ryan, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Clinton and Boutros Boutros-Ghali also submit picks, while the trend shifts from inspirational titles to classics. The campaign runs during National Library Week with Blair's aides naming Kidnapped and Ivanhoe as favorites from Downing Street. Anderson notes Chodron is an inspirational self-help work, and librarian Glenna Nowell notes the work as heavy but meaningful.
