Deadline for filing property tax renditions in Texas
Deadline is April 15 for businesses to file renditions with county appraisal districts detailing taxable inventory, furniture, fixtures, machinery and other property as of Jan 1. Exempt property is not subject to rendition. A decreased value report can lower 2016 taxes if damage occurred last year. Forms are at appraisal districts or the Comptroller site with assistance by calling 1 800 252 9121.
