Former British official Koeppler dies in Texas at 66
Sir Heinz Koeppler, 66, former assistant secretary of state in the English Foreign and Commonwealth Office, died Sunday in a Waco hospital of an apparent heart attack. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1977, he led Baylor University's Institute for the Study of the Interaction of Foreign and Domestic Affairs after coming to Baylor last fall. Retired director of Wilton Park in Sussex, England, he will be buried there. Memorial service at Baylor is planned with date not yet set.
