Former jailer pleads guilty to sex with inmates charges
A former Hutchinson County jailer, Shane Toney, 25, pleaded guilty to having sex with inmates and lying to a grand jury. He accepted a plea bargain of 15 days in Armstrong County Jail, four years probation, and a $3000 fine. Charges will be dismissed after sentence completion. In 1999 three female inmates reported consensual relations with him while on duty. District attorney Clay Ballman said the plea avoids harsher penalties.
