Dietz 11000 Mile Walk Ends With Petition To Wilson

Leslie Dietz son of John E Dietz known as the outlaw of Cameron Dam completed an 11000 mile trek across the United States visiting every state and collecting 3,000,000 signatures for a pardon for his father who serves a life term in Wisconsin. Dietz mailed the petition to President Wilson at Cortlandt Street after finishing his journey in New York City, stating he never failed to seek aid for his father.

J W Martin Indian minister to 1400 tribal members and his wife and six year old son Morning Star visited the Wisconsin Presbyterian synod in Superior. Morning Star marveled at street cars while Martin spoke of 39 years in the Lord's vineyard and plans for 39 more if the Lord wills.

Death of Miss Razel Echtia Dean Echlin at 22

Miss Razel Echtia Dean Echlin aged 22 daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Echlin died last Monday after a long illness at her home. Funeral was held Wednesday at 1 pm at the family home Rev C L Koons Ashland preached the services. The procession went to Ashland and the body was buried in the Catholic cemetery. The Echlin family has many friends in our village and Ashland and sympathy goes to them. Joseph Summers visited in Ashland yesterday.
